Summer writing inspirations – towering Redwoods in an unlikely place

I found a stand of redwoods near Havelock North, New Zealand. They’re about 40 years old, planted near Te Mata Peak by a local club in the early 1970s.

It’s inspiring to think that the legacy of their efforts will, all going well, still be around in centuries to come. And inspiring to imagine just how large these trees will grow as time goes on.

  1. Green leaves, summer, warmth…oh such dreams. Here in Indiana we are well below 20 degrees below zero–not freezing–but zero! I do enjoy posts from down under🙂
