The obscure word of the week is caracole

This week’s obscure English word is caracole.

It means a half-turn, left or right, by a horse.

Your challenge: write a sentence or two in the comments, perhaps without the alliteration, using this word.

  1. Aw, that one’s too easy. I remember I first came across it in The Three Musketeers by Alexander Dumas, something like, “Athos put the destrier to its paces with a very pretty caracole in both directions.”
