The obscure word of the week is hector

This week’s obscure English word is hector. It means to harass somebody with a repeated request or demand to which they are expected to comply. It’s also the name of a Greek hero, unrelated to Diana of Themyscira, but that’s another meaning altogether.

Your challenge: write a sentence or two in the comments using this word in its annoying sense.

  1. Why does Matthew Wright continue to hector his readers with his repeated, not requests, but demands, though he dares to call them “challenges,” that we write a sentence or two in the comments using some obscure, at least by his lights, word or another?
